HomeSide Lending to Implement Revolutionary, Online Mortgage Solution

HomeSide Lending, one of the nation’s top 10 mortgage originators and servicers, approached Encore to develop and implement a revolutionary, online mortgage solution to reduce loan origination costs and dramatically streamline the loan application and approval processes.
Encore Solution
Encore developed an online loan application solution that collects the minimum amount of data necessary for each customer. The Web-based front-end interfaces with the back-end processing and underwriting technologies used by HomeSide Lending to completely re-engineer the mortgage process. Encore completed the product’s analysis and design, including development and production of the prototype, in only two-and-a-half months. To achieve the desired scalability needed for the project, Encore designers employed Sun Microsystems’ Java 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition (J2EE) technology using a BEA WebLogic Server with new clustering capabilities.
Business Results
Encore has developed a powerful online mortgage lending solution for HomeSide Lending to make the home-buying process more efficient, accessible and cost-effective. As a result, HomeSide Lending has announced initial strategic partnerships with Bank One, N.A., BET.com and Suddath Relocation Services, who will incorporate the solution into their product and service offerings. HomeSide Lending’s online mortgage solution represents the future of online lending and positions the company as a key player in an emerging, competitive market.
