There’s a certain irony about the creative process. For all its mystery, it’s still a process. To develop the ideal design solution for your business situation, we use six simple, but profoundly effective, steps.
Step 1: Discover
To ensure that we share the same vision, our team gathers samples of similar projects—including competitors’—to discuss with you. Together, we define the challenge. We acknowledge your target market. We ascertain the marketing problem and agree upon the objectives.
Step 2: Design
A review of thumbnail sketches or rough computer versions of the art allows us to explore concepts in a pressure free atmosphere. An interactive project also includes a site map and/or sample page design. Headlines and copy are mulled over. With approval, we proceed with the development of one to three directions.
Step 3: Refine
We work together to finalize the art, including color choice, fonts, photography, layout, etc. Generally, only one or two rounds of revisions are all it takes to “nail it.” When you’re satisfied with the concepts, your signature takes us to the most important step.
Step 4: Produce
Your vision comes to life. Estimates for printing are obtained, a printer is selected and we submit mechanicals for printing. Web sites move into the programming and development stage. Our oversight with vendors ensures that you get exactly what you expect.
Step 5: Test
Typically, a marketing product requires testing. Press approvals, Beta testing and/or focus groups ensure that the product is appropriate and effective for the target market and functions as promised.
Step 6: Evaluate
After the launch of a new identity system, brochure,
ad or Web site, it is helpful to capture feedback and response. We help you determine its level of success
and how it could be improved, modified or implemented more effectively.
